"My granddaughter and I have made an annual trip to Grandfather Mtn since she was 5. She is now 18. We missed it together last year but went in March of this year. As always, it was beautiful. There was ice on the trees at the bridge and the wind was blowing. The bridge was "singing" in the wind. You have to hear it to understand what I mean. I hope I will always be able to visit Grandfather Mtn. with all my grandchildren. " Catherine Prospect Hill, NC |
