ESSENTIAL STEPS COMPLETED AT NEW TOP SHOP SITE

While the work being done in June at the new Top Shop site hasn’t been as visible and dramatic as previous months, very important steps have been completed in the construction process.

The form footing and rebar has been set into the mountain rock per engineers specifications and the batter boards and stream lines are up to set the elevation points and outside boundaries of the site. These steps have all helped the building start to take shape.

The crew from Greene Construction plans to start pouring the footing early next week and then pour the form walls with solid concrete a few days later.

Project Manager Mike Best said that in a few weeks a lot of the walls should pop up.

“We’ve been doing lots of digging and drilling for awhile,” said Best. “But once we start on the walls this building is going to start going up quickly.”
