Halloween at Clemmons Produce in Banner Elk:

There is still a great deal of color to be enjoyed in elevations below 3,000 feet. Grandfather remains a top leaf-looking destination in late October because you pass through color in all the lower elevations on your drive to Grandfather Mountain, and because Grandfather's peaks make a great vantage point for looking out at the color changing in the valleys.

Some of the best routes to follow for color are US 421 between North Wilkesboro and Boone, US 221 between Marion and Grandfather, US 321 between Lenoir and Blowing Rock, and NC 181 between Morganton and Linville.

What People Say…

" I had not been to Grandfather Mountain since I was a little girl and it was even more beautiful than I remember. The fall colors were absolutly breathtaking. It's scenery like that at Grandfather Mountain that reminds us that there are more important things in life than our daily trials and tribulations. Thank you for the wonderful experience! "
